Day 1

Embracing Grief for the Mother You Needed

You’ll explore the layers of grief you’ve been carrying—often silently. You’ll learn how unprocessed grief keeps you in cycles of over-functioning and disconnection, and how sacred grieving clears space for rebirth.


🌀 Includes: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) for releasing grief, heart-centered journal prompts, and gentle nervous system regulation.

Day 2

Healing Hyper Independence

Discover how your independence may be a trauma response. You’ll unpack how emotional neglect created self-reliance that now feels like isolation—and how to soften into connection without fear.

Day 3

Cultivating the Ability to Receive

Rewiring your body to receive love, support, and abundance is a spiritual practice. This lesson teaches you how to shift from over-giving to open receiving—and how to feel safe doing so.

Day 4

Reparenting the Inner Child

Meet the little one within who still longs to be held. You’ll learn how to parent your emotional world with presence and tenderness, without shame or spiritual bypass.

Day 5

Healing from Self-Abandonment

It’s time to stop betraying yourself to keep others comfortable. This lesson defines self-abandonment & reframes boundaries as sacred self-love and walks you through how to set, hold, and honor them.

Day 6

Honoring the Mother Within

You no longer need to search for a mother outside of yourself. You’ll begin to embody your own divine mother energy—one that is wise, warm, protective, and rooted in love.

Day 7

Closing Ceremony

In this session you become the embodiment of the healing energies you've been working on all week. We are introduced to the divine mother archetype & explore 9 stages of embodiment.

What exactly is the Mothering the Self course?

Mothering the Self is a 7-day immersive course designed to help you heal the emotional, energetic, and ancestral layers of the mother wound. Each day offers a soul-centered teaching, a healing or embodiment practice (like EFT, visualization, or breathwork), journaling prompts, and optional reflection questions. It’s a holistic psychospiritual approach to deeply nourish the parts of you that still carry unmet maternal needs.

Who is this course for?

This course is for adults who are ready, willing, and emotionally available to heal the impact of the mother wound. You may already be in therapy, have done inner work, or feel a spiritual connection—but you’re craving something deeper, more embodied, more liberatory. This is for people who want to feel whole, not just intellectually understand why they feel fractured.

Do I need to have a “bad” relationship with my mother to take this course?

Not at all. This course isn’t about blame—it’s about truth. The mother wound can exist even when our mothers were loving, present, and well-meaning. It’s about what you needed and didn’t receive emotionally, energetically, or developmentally. This course is about honoring your experience and reclaiming what’s still missing.

How much time will it take each day?

Each daily module takes about 30–45 minutes total. This includes the 15–20 minute talk, a guided practice, and time for journaling or reflection. You can take it all at once or break it into smaller pieces throughout your day. The material is yours to revisit as often as you like.

How is this different from therapy?

This course complements—but doesn’t replace—therapy. It’s designed to support your emotional healing through psychospiritual tools that speak to the body, the soul, and the ancestral layers of your being. You’ll engage in energetic practices, nervous system work, and inner child reparenting in a way that many traditional therapeutic models don’t always reach.

What types of healing practices are included?

All practices are trauma-informed and guided gently so you can move at your own pace. This course includes a variety of accessible, soul-nourishing practices such as:

  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique / tapping)
  • Guided visualization + inner child journeys
  • Energetic breathwork
  • Mirror work + affirmations
  • Journaling + embodiment rituals

Is this a religious or spiritual course?

This course is spiritually grounded, but not affiliated with any religion. You’ll hear references to ancestral wisdom, the Divine Mother, sacred energy, and self-devotion. All practices are open to people of all faith backgrounds—or no faith at all—as long as you’re open to inner transformation and spiritual integration.

Is there a community space or support?

Yes! You’ll be invited into an optional private reflection space on the Living Liberated App where you can share your insights, ask questions, and connect with others on the journey. This space is gently facilitated and designed for deep, respectful healing—not advice-giving or fixing.

How long do I have access to the course?

You’ll receive lifetime access to all materials—including audio files, video talks, and downloadable practices. You can revisit this journey as often as you need, especially when new layers of healing arise.

Meet Dr. Norissa.

So great to e-meet you!

I'm a psychologist, social worker, and spiritual guide dedicated to helping people heal from both personal and systemic trauma. With 20+ years of creating healing containers, my work blends ancestral wisdom, spiritual practices, and mental health tools to support deep transformation and liberation.

But I don’t come to this work only as a clinician or scholar.I come to it as a woman who has done this healing herself. I know what it means to grow up feeling emotionally unsupported, unseen, or expected to hold everything together while no one held me.I know what it means to carry grief that has no name, to parent yourself through pain, and to long for a kind of mothering that simply wasn’t available. And I also know what it means to reclaim your power by becoming the mother you needed.

Through my own process of healing the mother wound, I discovered that the deepest healing doesn’t come just from understanding our stories—it comes from reparenting ourselves, restoring softness, regulating the nervous system, and reconnecting with Spirit.

That’s why I created Mothering the Self—to offer a psychospiritual approach that blends everything I’ve studied, practiced, and lived:
